But there is an event actually happening the day this podcast drops, and it's called Created in LA, and it is a two-day event that Disney is doing with, uh, the c- uh, creator Jon Youshaei, I hope I got that right, uh, who has spent years working at YouTube and Instagram before, uh, becoming a creator himself.

So what they're doing, Eric, is they're bringing together 350 creators, storytellers, and executives, and they're taking over the El Capitan Theatre for like a red carpet premiere of creator videos.

And then tomorrow, well, I guess the next day, everybody is moving over to the Walt Disney Studio lot for a full day about conversations, you know, with the storytelling and social media and the business of being a creator.

So I don't think that this is just like a bunch of little random, uh, creators, like TikTok creator or something.

R.I.P. R.I.P. We're going to go back to roots.

And then I would love to go see a movie at the El Capitan because I

love Disney.

What movie would be your ideal El Capitan?

Oh my God.

Dolby for me is the ultimate format for animation.

Is it that laser projection? The El Capitan is Dolby projector and it's better with color in a way I think really serves animation.

I'm actually going to go and say the biggest pleasant box office surprise of the summer for me.

It got a box office worldwide of $559.8 million.

The premiere was on June 12, 2011 at the El Capitan Theater here in Los Angeles, and it was released worldwide on June 24, 2011.

This is going to be nominated for Best Animated Feature Film at the 69th Golden Globes.

And this is the first Pixar movie to not be nominated for any Oscar.

I was so excited to see that movie.

And, you know, I saw it at the crest, or not the crest, at the El Capitan in Hollywood, that big press screening where we were all there.

And I was sitting next to John Schnapp, and Amy Dallin.

And, and I, I don't think I've ever, maybe when I saw the empire strikes back in 1980, I can't remember being as excited to, I'm sitting next to Schnepp.

And he was just a dude that had an apartment down the street and would just bought a costume and would walk down.

And so the reason I know this is when my kids were young, he used to take them to the El Capitan Theater, which is haunted as well.

My son's like, oh, there's these Transformer guys.

And I go, shoot a photo.

And we have to go check out...

The El Capitan might be holding the Spider-Man U.S. premiere while we're down there.

People are gonna love this! As much as Ridley Scott's been more missed than hit lately, but because he's got so much clout, he can put you can get these movies greenlit and then cedars kind of left holding the bag when these movies are pretty blatantly movies that don't that are just never going to work the clear comparison is the last duel whatever you want to say about it it's a movie that has a rape scene shown twice once from the perspective of the rapist and then ends with a very gory duel with the last shot being a sword through Adam Driver's bloody mouth.

It's a grisly, dark movie, mostly because it needs to be, but as I was watching it, I was just like, First time I saw it at the El Capitan Theater, which was hilarious to me.

It's like the side effects of the Disney Fox version.

The first time I went to that theater was seeing A Bug's Life with my kindergarten class when I was seven years old.

I can't remember.

But it was premiered on the 25th in the El Capitan Theater, which, as we've talked about, many of this time period's movies have premiered there.

And then it premiered in the rest of the country on March 30th of 2007.
