Eku Leota

It was on that block punt, which was fantastic by Simi Fajoko.

And actually, Eku Leota wrapped his man up and that's what allowed space for Fajoko to block the punt.

But bug Crawford was right there and you can see on the replay his ankle got caught up in the turf he limped off the field and then he came out of the tent with the help of two trainers unable to put any weight on that right foot and was carted off and we'll also have to see what happens with safety rabbit Taylor Demerson he allows this defense to be in DC Nick Rollis to allow the defense to be creative and deploy him a little differently and he missed the game with a ribs injury

Yeah, that safety room is a mass unit right now, so hopefully good news on both Rabbit and Bug in the days to come.

Neither one have been able to separate themselves so far.

And still it is also listed as Josh Sweat, Jordan Burch, Eku Leota.

So that has not changed at all.

But I do think the linebacker pairing, because when we started camp, It was a lot of Cody Simon and Mack Wilson.

Those are the guys that are the rotational guys.

Eku Leota, he's going to play on special teams.

What did you make of keeping only four linebackers and then Sharar over Owen Papo.

You think, I mean, we've talked about this, you know, Papo had kind of mostly played, done what he needed to in the NFL.

It was a little bit too little too late in a lot of ways.

But Eku Leota has shown you enough.

Because at the end of the day, it is a competition.

Eku Leota has shown you more than what I believe B. Joe Jolari was providing.

And we could talk all the time about top 100 pick, where they were drafted.

But the further away you move from the draft...

And then what's the rest of that edge group look like? Did a couple of the other edge washers sneak in?

Yeah, so looking for Eku Leota.

I'm trying to find if he made the roster.

Looks like he did make that.

As far as Cameron Robertson, he was sent packing.

So Ojolari Robertson, they don't make the cut.

Well, Eku Leota is going to be on the initial 53 for the Arizona Cardinals.

um so yeah that that's that's what we have as far as that goes uh forgive me just kind of trying to get a couple yeah yeah not at the same time but uh we i mean it was basically one of those guys was gonna make it because the they like to have five outside linebackers on this roster josh sweat activated You've got yourself, Jordan Burch saving Collins, Barron Browning, and then echo Leota with his, you know, strong camp and preseason, including a half of a sack, uh, last game, and then a sack and a TFL, the previous game.

I, I did like, uh, a lot from what I saw.

I thought that, uh, like, Eku Leota had a good game.

Yeah.

Two TFLs including a sack.

Who else can help Josh Sweat take some pressure off him and maybe surprise somebody this season and be that guy to kind of maybe form a one-two punch?

You know, I thought in that Dallas game that Eku Leota did a good job, and he, he really kind of flashed and showed some things.

And, um, Cameron Roberts- Robertson has, has been doing a good job in training camp.

But, um, I, I, j- I don't think this is a position that, that is really been addressed, uh, that, that edge rush position opposite of Josh Sweat.

But a guy like Baron Browning, you know, um, to use his speed and, and really get around the edge with his speed, and I think we can run some tackle games underneath to compensate for that when the quarterback steps up from, from that wide speed rush.

Um, th- there's, there are opportunities, uh, if we construct it a little more, I think, um, in terms of getting pressure on the quarterback.

The name you mentioned earlier here, Eku Leota, who on Saturday had a sack, had a tackle for loss, someone that has certainly opened up the eyes of first year head coach Mike LaFleur.

There's, um, been a lot of good stuff that we've seen throughout camp.
