But Interlaken is in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland.

So people refer to Interlaken as a region, but it, the region is actually the Bernese Oberland region, and it's the gateway to the Jungfrau Region, which has some of the most iconic alpine peaks, like Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau.

And like Jamal said, it has dramatic mountain landscapes, really cute Swiss villages, and there's so much to do within Interlaken and using it as a base.

Yeah, from hiking, paragliding, taking the scenic railways, there really is lots to do, or even going out onto the lake.

At least I had pants.

But, but the thing is, so, you know, six or seven days prior to that we'd climbed the Eiger together.

Uh, well, actually I'd climbed the east side and he'd climbed the west side, and we'd met on top and it was super fun.

But that day we were basically in shorts and no shirt on the summit of the Eiger at 13,000 feet.

Yeah.

And so we didn't really think the Matterhorn would be that much colder, because the, the actual forecast was pretty similar.

I've, I've, I've conquered my fears on the Matterhorn.

That's about as scary as you get, right? The Eiger, Cotopaxi, uh, the Grand Teton.

I mean, the list goes on and on and on, and this, this summer I'm going to Montenegro, which used to be part of Yugoslavia, and I'm gonna climb over there.

So, you know, it's just like continue to goal set and put those things out there so I have something to shoot for.

The view was absolutely incredible.

You see different mountains, the Eiger, the Jungfrau, the valleys, the glaciers, and you're thinking, "There is no way that this is real life." But oh, there we were, and it was real.

After coming back down from the Royal Walk, I wanted to take another path down, a two-mile hike to a town called Kleine Scheidegg instead of just taking the gondola down.

It's a scenic hike along the ridge with spectacular views of the mountains, but then the clouds began to overtake the mountains and what was supposed to be a perfect hike, it was amazing, but the clouds interrupted the view just a bit.

Yeah.

Uh, I just climbed the Eiger.

I developed rock climbing skills in 12 days and managed to-

Uh, well, I climbed the Matterhorn, climbed the Eiger, climbed the Marmolada in the Dolomites, and basically just a bunch of other peaks in the Dolomites, and, uh, yeah, it was freaking awesome.

I was lucky enough to early sign up for a race called the E16 in the Eiger.

So you're in Grindelwald in Switzerland and you run under the shadow of the Eiger and it is wonderfully beautiful.

gigantic as a mountain and it's very dramatic and the why I signed up for that the medal is a part of the Eiger it's part of that it's a rock that is washed up from the weather out there and it's just gorgeous and I'm like my friend Simba described it as a weapon and I was like it is a weapon of a medal anyway it is a 10 mile race it's 16 kilometers with 900 meters of elevation so it's punchy like it is a lot of vert to take in and I just get very nervous at the start of races.

It doesn't matter if it's my first or if it's my 50th or 500th, however many I've done.

I get nervous and I think, have I done enough? And am I good enough? And I had three...
