But it's also a place where you get to meditate and think positive things.

So like that's the closest or when there's like Eid, obviously we're observing or the different holidays or, you know, but in our daily lives, in our practices, we're trying to abide by those five pillars.

Right.

So like to give charity, to do good, to take care of your family and, you know, to be good to your parents and things like that, or to save up to one day, go to Hajj and so on.

And I've always thought of that, whether it's at any time period, in any context.

So you have, for example, the historic 1925 Eid reception right on the mosque grounds.

How did those early pioneering gatherings, how did they shape the way the British public viewed the arrival of...

I wouldn't be wrong to say like an alien religion, alien faith, or a religion from the Far East.

And this is something which is the link with the Fathom Mosque, the Ahmadi Muslim community, for even that time.

And like I mentioned, a lot of history-altering moments have happened in this mosque.

For example, even in 1933, when Muhammad Ali Jinnah, he attended one of the Eid al-Adha in this mosque, and he attended the reception and he delivered a speech as well.

And within this, you know, his relation with the Imam of the Fath-e-Mosque, Abdur-Rahim Darsahib, through his, you know, the bond that they had, that Abdur-Rahim Darsahib was able to convince Mahmoud Ali Jinnah to go back to, you know, what was later to become Pakistan and fight for the cause that was for the cause of the country.

It was difficult to claim the militants were defending Pakistani society when they had reached the stage of trying to assassinate cricket.

This is a country where attacking cricket is less a political strategy than cancelling Eid, oxygen and everyone's mother at the same time.

In May 2010, coordinated attacks on two Ahmadi mosques in Lahore killed 94 worshippers.

That July, suicide bombers hit Data Darbar, the city's great Sufi shrine, killing more than 40.
