Egypt Station

right so much of my relationship with this album was based on how i first heard it and so like so many of my lasting memories of paul albums are you know me having that photographic oh i know exactly where i was when i first heard wildlife i was doing door-to-door uh charity sales uh in uh in a really nice uh part of Solly Hull, Red Rose Speedway, doing the same thing again, but I was in the back of some guy's car, band on the run, I was at uni, like they're all there.

Even up, you know, Egypt Station, I was on a train in Stafford.

after my girlfriend had just broken up with me.

That is a very lasting image.

Do you remember when everyone was really mad on Egypt Station? And now we all kind of agree that it's one good album and one kind of flabby other half of an album.

and we thought it was so good we have to talk about it because the stones album is great this is so great jeremy we again as i told said the last time we are in uncharted territory mick and keith 83 mix 83 keith 82 paul's 84 and there's those out there which we'll talk about in a minute at 85 i believe we're 86 they're all out there performing you know or indirect making these albums that are fantastic and they just keep going what's your take

I think especially as someone who has been really into Paul's later career, like starting with new – I think it's Egyptian Station and then Paul and Courtney 3.

I've been liking his stuff, his newer stuff, a whole lot.

Yeah.

He had this weird, like, switch up.

Because you can listen to, for example, Ram, or McCartney 1, McCartney 2 even, and then you listen to New or Egyptian Station, and it's almost a different sound.

But in this case, he seems to battle the old and the new.
