used to drive past Doheny Drive.

And it was named after a guy named Edward Doheny, who, born in Wisconsin, spent 20 years, and this is kind of a cool story at the outset.

It gets less cool.

Bopped around Texas, the Southwest, and Mexico.

Whenever you see that black and white checkerboard floor, you know that that's Greystone Mansion.

It, like I said, was built in 1928 by an oil millionaire, Edward Doheny.

And a murder took place there, and it had a troubled history and was lived in as a private residence until 1955.

But then in 1965, the city of Beverly Hills acquired it, took it over and assumed ownership, and later, about six years later in '71, turned it into a public park.
