I was like, Edward, Alphonse, they're really strong protagonists, and seeing what they went through, seeing what they developed, how they changed themselves and adapted to their situation, and they're like, we're going forward.

We're continuing.

Also seeing their support system, like Winry, and the military in general, seeing all the different characters there.

That is Alphonse Elric, who is not the Full Metal Alchemist, despite wearing a suit of armor.

Edward Elric, who is called Full Metal Alchemist as like a nickname as a part of this country's military.

He is what's called a state alchemist.

They are people who can perform alchemy, which is a very specific kind of magic that allows them to reshape matter.

Al's entire helmet goes flying after being shot with a revolver, and notably, Ed's not really bothered when Al's entire head flies off, but the guy turns the gun on Ed, and Al's suit of armor still proceeds to grab the guy's gun, bends it, and then decks the guy in the face, because it turns out Al is not a guy in armor.
