Edward A. Kelly

Welcome to Trump News Daily.

On today's episode, President Trump hosts first responders for lunch in the Rose Garden and says he has directed the Justice Department to seek the death penalty for anyone who murders a police officer or firefighter.

Thank you.

I don't know, that song, I never get tired of hearing it.

So, Todd, thank you for the great job you're doing.

Everybody appreciates it.

I also want to thank President of the International Association of Firefighters, Edward Kelly, who does a great job.

Edward, thank you very much, Edward.

As you know, that wall has sat for a hundred and fifty years empty.

And, uh, I said, "Something has to be on that wall." And I just had the, the notion, I've often thought of it because I've never seen it before, uh, a presidential walk of fame.

So we went from George Washington to Trump, and that will be extended on this wall right up here because somebody said, "Oh, but you have no room for anybody else." I said, "No, it extends this way." And but I'm gonna have to leave that because whoever it is, maybe they won't be able to figure that out.

And if they don't figure it out, I don't know what they're gonna do, you know? But we have, we have at least a hundred and twenty-five years of extension going this way.

So it's fun.

But everybody loves the presidential walk of fame.

Nobody knows if there is any.

And we have a very generic, very good description of every president, from Washington all the way down.

A hearing in Massachusetts ended up succeeding and helped pass one of the nation's first laws that banned PFAS in firefighter gear in 2024.

Union president Edward Kelly of the International Association of Firefighters called for a national ban on PFAS in firefighter gear during the labor organization's annual meeting after seeing the film the year before.

To shine a light on this god-awful situation that we've found ourselves in, and being able to educate each other and the public is going to be pivotal in our ability to correct this injustice and, quite frankly, leave the world a better place.

In addition to firefighters, those working at chemical manufacturing plants are another obvious target of concern, but some highly exposed occupations are more surprising.

A- absolutely.

Um, a- and add this, too, a lot of union guys, IAFF guys, um, President Ed Kelly I've talked to him both years he was there, last year and this year.

And, uh, what a great guy, you know.

And, uh, I've been a union member, uh, since 1993, and I'm still a union member today.

We got great response out of Australia and New Zealand and on and on.

Well, you know, I'm talking with the general president of the International Association of Firefighters, Ed Kelly.

Ed's got 300,000 members strong.

The IFF is the, you know, firefighter labor group in this country.
