We went through all the various positions.

If you missed that one, suggest going back here and kind of where we thought they might make some improvements um and broke all that down we're gonna shift to the pictures this week before we start looking at some of the free agents that are available in the next couple of weeks um you know a reminder we gave this at the beginning last week you know there are 40 man decisions that are coming up here there were 47 players that were on uh the 40-man roster to end the season seven of those were on the 60 day il players like Cutter Crawford, Zach Kelly, Tristan Casas, Justin Slayton, Oviedo, Eduardo Rivera, Eli White.

All of those will come off of the 60-day IL at the end of the World Series.

You'll have 47 players on the roster, and their only free agents are Patrick Sandoval, Isaiah Conner-Falefa.

And then everyone else kind of in that pre-arbitration or minimum contracts where they're in their first year or two entering the season.

Those names include Giovanni Moran, These are just guys that are still in the 40s.

Giovanni Moran, Tyler Samaniego, Alec Gamboa, Wyatt Olds, Jettickson Paez, Eduardo Rivera, and the booty call, Raymond Burgos, to round that out, still in the 40s.

Booty call.

Maybe he's the guy that gets traded or something.

We'll see, you know, you have Gamboa and some of those guys, you have Eduardo Rivera, who I feel like could be a pretty good reliever.

He didn't finish the year healthy.

There are options there where, and, and nobody who played a key relief role is not under control.

So basically you've got three open spots on your 40-man roster, so the Red Sox then need to decide a couple of things.

[swoosh] One, of the list of players that they're, that are currently on the 60-day IL, that is Cutter Crawford, Zack Kelly, Johan Oviedo, Eduardo Rivera, Justin Slayton, Triston Casas, and Eli White.

Which of these guys are they going to hold onto? And two, they need to figure out of the guys that are currently on the 40-man roster who are going to need to be let go of to make room for these guys.

It's a couple of different things.

I mean, the dude was in your starting rotation on opening day here this year.

I would imagine he's the guy that would slide in and take the other one of Patrick and, uh, Sonny's spots here that they open up on the 40-man roster.

Which basically leaves three names that the Red Sox need to find room for: Cutter Crawford, Eduardo Rivera, and Zack Kelly.

What I would personally do specifically for Eduardo Rivera Is I would actually DFA Raymond Bergus, and for a couple of reasons.

Yeah, there's a lot of them.

But Joe LaSorsa, Seth Martinez, Jack Anderson, Tommy Canely, Eduardo Rivera.

Danny Coulombe, who got some run early in the year.

Tyler Uberstein traded at the deadline.

Eduardo Rivera, a guy who came up.

Jet Hedickson-Payas, who actually pitched well the last weekend of the year.

Tyler Samaniego was there early, never came back, which was kind of weird for the record.

You know, obviously with Kelly as an ARB guy, that'll be an interesting conversation roster-wise because there's upside.

Obviously, your only other position player all-star this year.

Eduardo Rivera.

Like, it wasn't a huge sample size, but he was surprisingly good when he was with the Red Sox, right? This was another guy that you're like, who is this guy? Where did he come from? And why is he starting games and, you know, striking out the side basically for three straight innings? This is going to be a tough debate.

This Roman debate is going to be a tough one because I don't really know where to put him.
