And the real estate deal was also heavily pushed by the country's prime minister, Edi Rama, who met several times with the Trump Kushners even while protests objecting to the island grew across Albania.

And Rama, who has been in power for 13 years, vowed to push on with the Kushners' luxury development project, and that's despite the fact that EU officials have warned that irregularities around Trump-Kushner plans, around the Trump-Kushner plans could interfere with Albania's path to becoming a member of the bloc if they go ahead.

Now, one of the reasons behind the anger around the sale and development of Sazan is its environmental status.

You know, Prime Minister Edi Rama has said that, uh, he's sort of justifying it by saying, "Well, it's, it's gonna create 10,000 jobs." Um, and I think we heard there in that clip, "We'll be the ones massaging the feet." Those will be, you know, very, um, low paid jobs, you know? And I think that there's already a problem with unemployment in Albania, and specifically with youth unemployment.

And I've read that even when you look at some of the employment statistics, they're actually, they're actually quite, um ...

For one, it turns out that of around $1.4 billion Kushner plans to invest in Cezanne and Zvenek, around 10% of it has already been paid to Artashehu.

But Jared Kushner, without Senate confirmation, without experience, judgment, has a portfolio that sees him traipsing around the world with Donald Trump's real estate investor and partner Steve Wyckoff making a great mess of things, sowing chaos wherever it is they go and corruption.

And so the magnitude of the corruption is such that it's going to lead to the overthrow of governments.

Eddie Rama ran as an anti-corruption populist, a reformer, and I think he could see his government collapse because of this.

Everywhere anybody who got into bed with these people is going to end up in ruins.

And instead of the original lyrics, that is what the crowd is chanting.

And it means, Rama, resign.

This has been happening every single night for over 80 days straight.

So today we are going to talk about the Flamengo Revolution happening in Albania, a country of 2.4 million people that is currently staging the largest civil uprising it has seen since communism collapsed over three decades ago.

These are important lessons people really need to jot down in their noggins.

Out of that chaos rose a political class on both the socialist and democratic sides that critics say has spent the last 30 years consolidating power through patronage, organized crime linkage, and control of state institutions all while chasing the ultimate prize, European Union membership, which keeps getting dangled and delayed.

Okay, well overnight, well before I graduated high school, which was elected on promises of modernization and EU integration, as well as the coastal development project that has stalled following calls for environmental review and investigations by Albania's independent corruption watchdog.
