Um, I don't mean like back like winning championships back, but I love John Summerall as a coach.

Just one quick point to make to come back to the reputation of the NAV Center in Little Saigon as being kind of a creator or instigator of the problems there.

Daniel, you've made this point to me vehemently many times that the problems in Little Saigon predated the arrival of the NAV Center, right? And really probably had more to do with the clearing of the jungle during the Ed Murray administration era, right? Where there was a That area kind of under I-5, the jungle, that was a kind of large geographical area, large scale, essentially extended series of homeless encampments that there were some shootings down there and stuff.

And then that all got kind of cleared out.

And so that activity ended up moving to Little Saigon, again, predating the arrival of the Nat Center then.

He's played every Oriole game this season.

Now the one strike pitch to the righthanded swing of Ed Murray.

It's a little bit high, and we go one ball and one strike.

Currently in the private sector, but during the Ed Murray administration and into the Durkin administration, he was the mayor's office attorney.

And so Ian was very involved in the previous police chief search under Jenny Durkin that you know, was kind of bumpy and led ultimately to the appointment of Carmen Best.

Right.

Well, I will say this.

I mean, the mayor has an enormous amount riding on this search going well, and they're having an outcome of it where whoever gets appointed at the end of it is seen as credible and a good fit for the city.

You know, the last really successful police chief search that I can think of was – Kathleen O'Toole getting appointed under Ed Murray.

She had real police reform credentials and was seen as the right person at the right time.

Well,

Murray and Cantwell certainly were not going to vote yes on that.

So you were disenfranchised by even suggesting that that's something America needs because nobody in your city hall is going to take the phone call or D.C. and say, oh, I'll do what the voters want.

Yeah, just look at New York.

But where you are, they already thought of that.

The mayor of Seattle was there before Mandami.

You go back to Ed Murray and they've had just a revolving door of clown car.

And I remember very clearly when Sawant beat Ari Hoffman.

I never understood why these fucking RV lots are so freaking expensive.

The first one of these opened when Ed Murray was mayor.

And the city's experience with it was that it costs like a shit ton of money and they ran out of money and they shut that one down right after like a year or two.

And it turns out you've got to have 24-7 staffing.
