Ed McCaffrey

You couldn't leave that backside lane open So the defensive end had to crash down to help with the run game.

And then it's just John Elway rolling out, and then you've got Ed McCaffrey, Shannon Sharp, Rod Smith, all running to that side of the field, and it's just easy football at that point.

And that's what you want to see here.

But like I said, until you get the run game going and making them respected, that backside defensive end is always going to try to come down for the quarterback.

And speaking of receptions and completed passes, Justin Jefferson only needs two receptions to reach 600 in his career, where he will join Keenan Allen, Anquan Boldin, Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, Cooper Cup, and CeeDee Lamb as the only seven players since 1933 to record 600 receptions in his first 99 career games.

That is very elite company to be in, Anquan Boldin, obviously Hall of Famer, Julio Jones, future Hall of Famer, Cooper Cup, well, Ed McCaffrey of this generation.

I don't need to say anything further than that.

CeeDee Lamb, obviously a dog.

Carl Mecklenburg.

I think about, I'm trying to think who else was, I mean, Ed McCaffrey, Rod Smith.

I think that was after that time.

But it was a little bit.

It's hard to win.

Ed McCaffrey, the legendary Broncos receiver, he said that after the game.

He's like, hey, everybody, I see all of you in my mentions basically upset.

Winning in the NFL is really hard, so you've got to celebrate it when you get the opportunity to do it.

Brock Purdy, the San Francisco quarterback, had another efficient night, completing 21 of 29 passes for 264 yards and a touchdown, and continues to look like a frontrunner to win the league's ultimate individual award.

McCaffrey brothers, all-pro San Francisco running back Christian McCaffrey and Washington's wide receiver Luke McCaffrey, shared an NFL field as competing brothers for the first time.

Their parents, including former Denver Bronco wide receiver Ed McCaffrey, watching them from a Levi's Stadium suite.

Christian McCaffrey overcame a fumble to score two of the Niners' touchdowns.

Luke McCaffrey averaged 24 yards on three kickoff returns, but didn't get a touch from a scrimmage, targeting one unsuccessfully by Daniels.

I can't really put into words what it means to share the field with him, Christian McCaffrey told ESPN after the game.

It was a huge honor.

Commander's Pants The gold trousers are back, and in a two-stripe tone for the first time.

Probably their uncle.

Is he an uncle? Because he's Ed McCaffrey's brother.

Uncle, and he was obviously...

Ed McCaffrey was an NFL receiver.

Bill McCaffrey was a great player at Duke.

It's crazy genes.
