Ed Harcourt

it seemed to be, I just wanted to try something different, a more sort of mature sounding record.

So that's when I got a guy called Ed Harcourt involved.

He's an interesting

character.

A detailed look at the album's credits tell a rather different story to the one spun by the label.

Polydor employed a small army of producer-songwriters with somewhat less credible names than Terefs, who has produced Katie Tunstall, Ed Harcourt and Ron Sexsmith on their CVs.

In fact, Undiscovered's co-writers have also written for Atomic Kitten, Five Girls Aloud, Busted, Renekita and Kylie, Victoria Beckham and Westlife.

Oh, and James Blunt, having not actually penned a single song on his own, Morrison clearly wasn't quite so averse to performing material written by other people after all.

And it just sort of came at a good time because also at this point I'd... been doing the feeling full time for over a decade, I'd only just started working with Sophie again, maybe for two or three years because she'd made a more folky rocky album.

And so that's kind of when we started working together with Ed Harcourt, one of my best friends and a brilliant collaborator of hers.

So that I was but that was that project was still approached very much almost more like a band way of doing things.

It was like, We're coming up with arrangements and we're sort of, it's not the old, the thing of session playing where it's like be absolutely on it, nail it, learn the parts, do that.

So he did all those.

So we did an album, um, with Jazzy Jeff, um, you know, uh, Ed Harcourt, uh, Masta Ace, Maestro, um, Keita, uh, Langley, all these people, and I love that album.

There's a lot of great songs on there.

That, that was a great experience because we're about...
