And though I will probably continue to use that Gmail, I have switched my search engine and I try to alternate between Ecosia.

And when that one isn't working for me, I use DuckDuckGo occasionally.

That said, if you are going to Google or use Safari for a search, you can always add a few random searches after your original search, just to purposefully confuse or taint the AI.

Yeah, the environmental impact of AI is a topic that is very big right now, right? And I think it's really important because we are just so oblivious to how much our usage of AI is taxing the environment, not just us as individuals, but like the products that we use.

If you're just looking for a search engine like today, um, personally, you know, uh, I'm not paid to endorse them or anything, but like, um, I use Ecosia, ecosia.org.

I mean, it's just trying to find, trying to find a, a something like search that it doesn't use the infrastructure of one of the major companies.

Now we all say, oh, how do you rank on AI? How do you rank on search? How do you rank on Google? How do you rank on Yandex? How do you rank on Bing? How do you rank on Ecosia? How do you rank on DuckDuckGo? How do you rank on Brave? These are very valid questions, but how do you rank is based on how you are indexed.

That's why I said that the first one and the last one are very important because the results are ranked based on factors like keywords, right? Your frequency of the keywords.

How many times have you used that keyword in that page, on that page, within that page? If you said it five times and your competitor said it 50 times, is that overload or is it underwhelming? You have to decide those things because there's an industry standard for each attribute.

Is there anything to do? I put out a thing of how to get Google Maps off your phone and to switch your search engine to DuckDuckGo or...

Ecosia is another one, or Yahoo, whatever.

You can switch to Microsoft and Bing and things like that.

Um, you do have limited choices in a lot of these things with mail.

The Gemini results you get when you type something into Google.

Now I use Ecosia on all my personal browsers, but like it gets its results from Google.

But if you use like naked google.com, it gives you a Gemini result.

as the first thing you see.
