Belize has been removed from the European Union's list of jurisdictions with outstanding tax transparency commitments after completing a review of its information-sharing practices.

The decision was announced on October 9 by the government of Belize following a meeting of the EU's Economic and Financial Affairs Council, or ECOFIN.

Belize's removal from Annex II of the European Union's list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes confirms that the country has met its commitment under Criterion 1.2, which concerns the exchange of information on request.

The government said Belize would continue implementing the Global Forum's recommendations and strengthening its tax transparency framework.

Um, not insignificant.

And tomorrow we've just got Ecofin meetings and also a couple of surveys out of the US, a couple of central bankers as well.

So, you know, next week is a, is a week really about inflation.

This is one of these weeks which has got a lot of individual small news events, nothing of any major interest.

So not a, not a great backdrop.

Um, there's Ecofin meetings as well, but not a huge amount going on this week.

So with that in mind, it's back to the sort of the macro dynamics of these markets.
