Eckerd Corporation

I'm not going to go into too many details.

But in the cabinets of their kitchen area, there's medication and throat spray from Eckerd Drugs.

They went out of business in 2007.

The date on that was 2001.

was a pharmacy tech.

I was, like, working at Eckerd's, which got bought out by CVS doing that.

My dad was a pharmacist, so, like...

the manager he had when I was a little kid, like the pharmacy he worked at, he worked at a different one, but his old manager was like a homie.

Highs and 7-Eleven.

You didn't have Eckerd Drugs? Nope.

No Eckerd Drugs.

Not where I was.

And we had Giant.

It has nothing to do with supply chain, right? So I worked in a bookstore at Duke University as an accounts payable clerk.

Then I went to be a store manager at a store that doesn't exist anymore, Eckerd Drugstore.

And if anybody's in the world, if you're dated, you know what Eckerd means.

So I was assistant store manager.

they're going to roll out their Christmas cups October 1st, I think.

I've seen the Christmas gear at Eckerd.

Yeah, I already saw it.

Eckerd? Sorry, I still call it that.

Did you go back in time? How'd you find an Eckerd? Or that weren't a long time.

Sorry, it was just one or the other.

What would Eckerd be? Walgreens?

Yeah.

Did it ever occur to you? Like, this is my dad right now.

Dude, imagine the people at Eckerd's that saw that stuff coming through there, printing out.

Those are old days.

They're supposed to turn that stuff over.

And I grew up seeing a lot of his reconstructive surgeries when patients after cancer had to have part of their nose, their ear, their eyelid removed.

You know, these were in the days I'm old enough to remember when we'd take the film to Walgreens or Eckerd's and develop the film and see photos.

And my dad would use the same camera for family vacations and surgery.

And so I'd be eating my Cocoa Puffs and going through some family photos and see some very complex reconstruction.

"And she's gonna take you to Eckerd's to go get you some pads."

My grandfather was supportive like that.

Go do some shit.

You are not doing anything productive over here but getting in everybody's business.
