I've been here since 2006.

I got my undergrad from Eastern Mennonite University.

Same, I didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up, but I knew numbers come easy.

I actually took an accounting class in high school and it was one of my favorite courses in high school.

Or certainly in the beginning, it prepared me the most.

It's just demand and supply chain.

I went on and got, I had a professor, I actually took one investment class when I was at Eastern Mennonite University and I had a professor tell me, Get your degree, go to work for 10 years, get your master's degree, and then go get your CFP or a certified financial planner.

And so that was always kind of my that was my map.

You're a transplant, your partner Kristen is a transplant, and so we were just sort of chit chatting about why people are attracted to harrisonburg and and what brings them and and then what makes them decide to stay so i think we're going to cover some of that as we talk about what the experience was like that i had with you in harrisonburg how has the city changed over the years

Whether it's the influence of the local universities that we have, James Madison University, Eastern Mennonite University, we've got some community colleges, a very large and thriving immigrant community that's been welcomed and added into the Harrisonburg fabric.

It's exciting.

Every time you go downtown, there's something new happening, whether the new restaurants that we'll talk about, some of these new shops.

Christopher Dock High School, small school, not far from where I sit, and been there a few times.

graduate from Eastern Mennonite University.

And by the way, Eric Kretsch just led Christopher Duck to a state championship on the other side.

And we're just talking, you know, you're just trying not to mess them up.

Like, being a young guy, I don't know how much, you know, he's gonna give him the Murph treatment because m- if Murph ever has a pump-up speech for me, he'll be like, "You do realize that you're just not that great of a hitter, but we need you to come through in this situation." So he's always used that, that sarcasm with me, calls me...

He would call me Ish, and he would make some kind of joke about me going to Eastern Mennonite University in any situation.

And I think sometimes with certain guys, obviously don't know what he said through the translator, but you see the big smile on Murph's face.

It's one of those things...

I feel like I can help us in the power and driving in some runs, and hopefully in key situations.

Last winter, the 26-year-old Sheets earned his bachelor's degree from Eastern Mennonite College in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

While Larry is a native of Stanton, Virginia, his wife Sharon hails from Pocomoke City on the eastern shore of Maryland.

Rene Gonzalez, a good defensive infielder, came to the birds from the Expos last winter.

Harrisonburg is looking really good this year with first year head coach Cat Gooch.

He comes over from Eastern Mennonite.

They've been looking really sharp.

They just got a big win the other night.

And where was that?

I was going to Eastern Mennonite College at that time.

I got my degree and then I moved on up to New York, which was interesting.

I moved to New York and that was really the only disaster I lived through.
