She was speaking at the Eastern Economic Forum, and speaking about technological dependence and how, as a Global South, that is something, uh, we've really got to get over if we're going to expand and grow in the way that we'd like.

A day earlier, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto told the Eastern Economic Forum in Russia that Russel planned to build facilities in the country together with Indonesian companies.

Quote, the Indonesian project represents a continuation of the company's diversification strategy in the Pacific region, a company representative said.

Roussel, the world's largest aluminum producer outside China, has explored opportunities in Indonesia before without managing to move tentative projects forward.
