East India Club

The Carter Club is very much a Tory conservative stronghold.

The East India Club was more of a club for those who'd worked in the East India Company, but it also...

It's now merged with the Schools Club, but it had that colonial setting.

And actually, they weren't simply clubs where gentlemen went and had conversations and did deals.

out so I have a funny story about Ben Smith.

So he was my interlocutor at one of my talks at the East India Club, which is a gentleman's club in London that was actually the social club for the East India Company.

And he opens our session by saying it's great to be here and it's very apropos to be here at the world's first drug cartel.

That's great.
