East Division

And this final, you know, what, four or five weeks here, four weeks here, is going to determine a lot in that division.

And, you know, obviously the East crossover is in play.

So crazy weekend.

Not saying there were a ton of surprising results because, you know, It just pins some teams here that are all fighting for it.

Bo Levi Mitchell being lost for the year when the team was playing the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

And they were never really able to recover.

We'll touch on the East in a minute because there's interesting stuff on Toronto and where Montreal is.

Of course, they're going to the playoffs.

The Calgary Stampeders completed a two-game sweep over the Ottawa Red Blacks, while the Winnipeg Blue Bombers wasted a strong start to fall to the Toronto Argonauts.

With the Bombers and Stamps at seven wins, who do you think will earn the crossover playoff spot into the East Division?

Look, I think this is going to come down to Week 19, where these teams play each other.

Like, the Bombers do have an advantage in that they have four games left.

If Zach Kalaris is in the lineup, I could see the Bombers potentially doing that.

But if he's not, then I would take the Calgary Stampeders.

Now, the question is completely different here in terms of the East Division crossover spot.

So I'll essentially use the same theory.

The Bombers have 18, 19, 20, 21, four games remaining.

One against the East and three against the West.

Okay.

They have.

Man, do I miss Paul Lapolis.

And I'll just say one thing.

When the chips were down in this game, and it was a tie game, or the Bombers were up by one, which team was it, the Argos, who had literally nothing to play for, basically locked up second place in the East, they're not going to catch Montreal, they have their home playoff game.

They have absolutely nothing to play for, Down one.

Uh, so Adam, uh, what are you thinking this game? Uh, by the way, over under is 58 and a half as well.

I think it's gonna be an East Division semifinal preview, uh, essentially.

Toronto might play because of that, just to kind of maybe send a message to Winnipeg that, "You guys gotta come and see us next time.

It ain't gonna be so fun." Uh, but I think that Winnipeg is desperate, or a little more desperate.

To me, that team looks broken down and busted.

And unfortunately, again, the Bolivar Mitchell injury creates one of, like, I think the most interesting what-ifs in CFL history, because I think this team would have competed for first place in the East Division had he not gotten hurt.

But that one injury really shows how unbelievably important the quarterback position is, not just in professional football, but... particularly in the Canadian Football League, right? If you don't have a quarterback, you're dead in the water.

It takes an unbelievably good roster outside of the quarterback position to make up for any lack of a quarterback under center.
