"So I'd be free?" "No.

[laughing] You're not going there yourself, only your soul.

"Is this right?" "Perfect, Country.

Now lay back." He walked up behind me and put this thingy that looked like a green bean strainer over my head.

"It's gonna be a bit disorienting when you slip back to the Earthrealm, but it will get easier the more you do it." He flipped on a switch on the side of that green bean strainer.

"Are you my boy?" "I ain't nobody's boy," I told him.

I don't know how much demons intermarried before they came to Earthrealm.

So by virtue of him knowing Lamia, I'm assuming they were both Lamia, but maybe not.

But dad was at least partially Lamia, and now she's like a quarter of it, whatever.

It is what it is.

Woo! And more, of course, about Earthrealm warriors later, of course.

But yes, the whole arcana concept, I guess, is definitely one that requires exploring.

I do agree.

Once again, I just wish the film had spent a little more time exploring that connection because there's definitely more emotional depth there than the movie ultimately gives us.

Regardless of that, I do think that our actors did give the right performances they were meant to give us.

So let's get to some of Cole's allies and warriors of Earthrealm that you touched upon Lil' Keith.

We have Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Micard Brooks as Jax, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang and Tadanobu Asano as Raiden.

He pointed to the computer doohickey.

"'That is the machine that will take you back to the Earthrealm.' I scuffled over to the trough and bent down to smell it.

It wasn't a trough like the tin ones I used to fill on my daddy's farm.

At least, I didn't think so.

Huh.

This machine, he waved his hand around the room, it's connected to Hell's core.

It allows us to communicate with the Earthrealm through little girls.

I didn't much understand what he was saying, so I just acted like I did and nodded my head.

Are you ready to test your might and save Earthrealm?

Yes.

And you? And you? You, gentlemen? I'm not really sold on this whole thing.

But then Edina is obviously a different realm.

This is not Earthrealm.

This is the last place that Outworld took over.

And one assumes that they do this every time.

And while Hiroyuki Sanada is very welcome here, there's less of a stark contrast of he's great, everything else is kind of meh.

Because now you're also juxtaposing this with, or in my case... preceding the Kitana stepping up to reclaim her kingdom, but she's not even really doing that.

She's doing it to fight for Earthrealm so that someone will be there.

Yeah, so that someone is resisting.

Perfect.

Yeah, I've recently watched a great movie where the fate of the universe of Earthrealm is on the line, so you would think we only can fight.

But no, there is still time to leave the area where there's fighting and have a stupid fucking conversation.

Is this Madam Web? No, I would never watch Madam Web.

It still got us over the finish line, and I think they will still lead to the same thing.

So if they do make a third one, it will cover Shinnok and his coup over Earthrealm.

And hopefully we get some spinoffs because I think they'll do better now coming out of this film than this film did coming out of the last one.

All right, well, let's hope for the best.
