So this is all Sazerac.

This is the first of the all Sazerac Barton 1792 early times distillate that's legally old enough to be bottled in Bond.

Well, we did not have Woodford Reserve when I started.

Our big brand was early times Kentucky straight bourbon and Old Forrester.

One was two and a half million cases early times, and Old Forrester was a million cases.

Jack Daniels was smaller than both, and Canadian whiskeys were also very popular.

And as you referenced, vodka and tequila and new crazy drinks being introduced.

The, um, The Wood Reserve Project was the brainchild, the passion of the late Owsley Brown II.

Owsley wanted us to continue to compete in what was now starting to show some life, the bourbon industry.

And at that time, ironically, we didn't think that Old Forester, because it had been in steep decline in the early times brand, were the brands to return us to fame and fortune.

They may or

may not have just ruined early times.

They're all like,

So what does Forrest Whiskey, Four Roses, and Early Times have in common?

Blending.

They all went to blended whiskey and they all went to shit.

again i i hate to use the early times and the four roses example but again this is history repeating itself all over again yeah and this this may sell great in europe in other markets where early times did well when it flopped and when four roses flopped it may sell great elsewhere but here in the us i i'm going to predict it's going to sit A lot like the Blue Run stuff sits.

Early Times, Indian Disturbances, First Permanent White Settler within the Limits of Dane County, Blue Mounds Fort, Savage Massacres, Sauk War, Location of Madison, etc., etc.

The incidents of the early settlement of our State, however unimportant in a national point of view, are worthy of being treasured up for the remembrance of posterity.

But few of these hardy and daring men who came into the country many years in advance of the present population now remain among us, and the little circle is rapidly contracting.

It belongs to this generation and our time to collect together the personal history, experience and adventures of these worthy and veteran pioneers, and preserve it as a very essential and interesting part of our local annals.

One of these earliest comers to the southwestern part of the State was Ebenezer Brigham, of Blue Mounds, the oldest and undoubtedly the first permanent settler within the present limits of Dane County; a man of rare modesty, unsullied reputation, possessing a strong and retentive memory, and who is really a living history of the life and times of the very first white settlers.

We have never been able to induce him to write out a sketch of those early times, but having got him fast by the button-hole a few days since, we took the occasion to jot down some items, which we serve up in our own way, in connection with other matters, trusting that more complete details will be obtained, of which he has a large fund, and that the reader will bear in mind the admonition he gave us not to make him the hero of the tale.
