I'm your host, Damian Abraham, and today on the show, this is one of the reasons I do this podcast, someone who has lived in mystery to me for decades at this point, uh, from the comedy duo of Earls and Jensen, from The Star Spangles I found out recently, from Strange Moments, and now from a brand-new upcoming solo record on the venerable Goner Records.

Jeff Joe Jensen is on the podcast today.

Jeff is someone I first met, uh, at Matador 21 years ago.

He was one of the hosts.

But I was already very familiar with him through Just For A Laugh, the comedy CD that he did as one half of the comedy duo Earls and Jensen, which initially came out, uh, I think it was 2003, maybe 2002.

But then, uh, was reissued by Matador Records around the same time as we started, well, as we signed to Matador Records or were on Matador Records.

So, uh, it felt very much part of my life throughout that time period.

Yeah, I've been a journalist since I started writing for my University of Calgary gauntlet newspaper back in the 80s.

And I ended up having the good fortune of bumping into Lori Weston, an amazing data scientist, at the bar in Calgary in Earls.

She was having a drink with her daughter.
