Earl of Cork

Many people in this room have heard me talk about Southall-Southall before and I'm just going to pay attention to, so the So the edition I'm working on is primarily focused on the poetry of Anne Southall and is indeed one of the Anglophone poets writing in early 17th century Munster, we think.

We know she was definitely there in 1623 because she writes two letters to the Earl of Cork.

It's actually quite hard to specifically track her movements.

As I've worked on the manuscript, I've become less, not less convinced, but more sceptical about how rooted she might or might not be in Munster.
