Compare in that.
AJ BlackHOST
3:05
to what Earl Grant did is going to be like night and day.
AJ BlackHOST
3:09
But more importantly, you have a new head coach who isn't just hedging, you know, his bets on what Boston College can and can't become.
AJ BlackHOST
3:20
He has a firm philosophy of what's going to bring Boston College back to relevancy in basketball.
AJ BlackHOST
5:43
And I feel confident, not only feel confident that this team is going to be entertaining, but I feel like this team is going to be sneaky good.
AJ BlackHOST
5:52
And what Luke Murray talked about was just the things that I think good teams do, which is attention to detail in everything that they do.
AJ BlackHOST
6:04
Not a knock on Earl Grant, but, you know, I feel like he was here to make everyone work as hard as they can and build that culture that way, which, again, I said on yesterday's show is fine.
AJ BlackHOST
6:19
But building an offensive philosophy never seemed like anything that Earl Grant was really putting in.
AJ BlackHOST
7:53
That's a huge thing.
AJ BlackHOST
7:54
You know, Earl Grant, his whole thing was being gritty and trying to grind out wins.
AJ BlackHOST
7:59
That's not what Luke Murray's going to be going for.
AJ BlackHOST
8:02
He is trying to build a machine here where everyone plays a part, everyone knows the system, everyone knows the, you know, the complex ball screens and off-ball movements and every, you know, how to swing it around and make those good looks so you find open passes.
AJ BlackHOST
8:19
That is going to be absolutely different than what we saw with Earl Grant, where, with Earl Grant, where you're just like, you know, hop, skip, and a prayer that you're gonna beat a team.
AJ BlackHOST
8:28
And then we saw, year after year, some of those offenses were really, really ugly.
AJ BlackHOST
8:34
Murray is pushing for an efficient, crisp, you know, explosive offense that's gonna make a lot of points, and that is gonna be a huge change.

AJ BlackHOST
18:17
Like, how often do you get a guy... gets nba comparisons on bc's bench i know i know it's one report but we went from just think about what where things have gone with this program in a year you went from nothing to this that's exciting you have a legitimate three-point shooter to go along with ernest shelton who is also a three-point shooter the big piece that that we that he talks about is The precision and detail orientation to Luke Murray's offense, which is completely different than Earl Grant's, which you saw down the stretch in a lot of these games where it was just kind of messy.
AJ BlackHOST
18:58
It's going to be a whole different ballgame.

AJ BlackHOST
20:54
because once they showed they cared it made me care it'll make you care too like now that you know that BC is showing some sort of drive to get better it makes it worth your money it makes it worth your time and that all pays off again now Luke and his team is just going to go out there and execute that's going to be the that's going to be the the challenge here and Based off of everything you heard, you know, with the Luke Murray being the offensive guru, that he's the complete 180 from Earl Grant, you get the sense it's going to happen.
AJ BlackHOST
21:33
But Luke, he has bigger aspirations for this team.
Joey MaiullariHOST
