E85

Go to the gas station.

You know, E15, E30, E85, if your vehicle can use it, a flex fuel.

I mean, yeah, maybe you give up a little bit of mileage on that E85, I've heard.

But if you do the math, I think you're way ahead using ethanol.

Right now, and especially when you consider the RIN price, if you're going to place, you know, one of the independent retailers, where they're paying $2.15 for a gallon of ethanol right now, but the RIN credit's $2.05, I think.

So essentially, they're paying a dime a gallon.

And earlier this year, they were getting paid a dime or 20 cents a gallon net price for ethanol.

And the actual rack prices for E85 right now are almost all less than a buck nationwide, less than a dollar.

On straight E85, it's corn fed.

Hey, so I just filled up at Eureka and Allen here in Taylor, E85 at $2.99.

Headed up Allen going back home, and I see E85 at $2.69 on Allen near Goddard Road.

And I'm wishing I'd waited a few minutes because I could have gotten a 30 cents cheaper a gallon.

Not everybody can put that in their tank, though.

You got to have the right car for that.

Yeah, well, I just got a beater old 2010 F-150 that has flex fuel on it.

Any of them that say flex fuel, take E85.

Well, anyway, this, it was the first car that, that I looked at that I was literally satisfied just looking at it.

This thing I think is fascinating.

You know what this immediately jumps out of me here? Man, it's great if you've got a car that runs on E85.

Some of my cars do.

But even

the difference between the price between regular gasoline and E85 was a lot.

It used to be like a dollar for most of the times.

Right now, it's $1.01 between regular and E85 across the USA.

I learned that.
