E3 2017

This would make it the second earliest entry in the entire series, since it would be followed by Assassin's Creed Odyssey which takes place in Greece during the Peloponnesian War.

Egypt had been a longtime fan request, and was a pleasant surprise when its cinematic trailer was released at E3 2017, and upon its release it received broadly positive reviews from gaming outlets and players alike.

The narrative of Origins focuses on the life of Bayek Asiwa, the last of the Medjai who once protected the Pharaoh and acted as peacekeepers throughout Egypt, along with his Greco-Egyptian wife, Aya of Alexandria.

After the murder of their son Khemu by a group known as the Order of the Ancients, Bayek and Ayah set out on a path of vengeance seeking to uncover and eliminate members of the Order whose schemes threatened to tear Egypt apart.
