People used to go to science fiction conventions.

I'm reading a book now by Arthur Lloyd Asbach, who was one of the founders of, I think, Known Press and some of the other early prime press, some of the early small press science fiction publishing companies.

And they published Doc Smith and the Conan books.

Asimov's early books, his foundation books, they published all that stuff.

Yeah.

To huge, like, Doc E. Smith, Lucasian, Lensman-sized, like Edgar Riceboro-sized space opera epic.
