Now, if you're in the Lightroom world, and Lightroom is your only app, sometimes a little bit of Photoshop, This probably doesn't apply to you, but other folks who like working with Mac Photos, who like working with Nitro, who like working with the Nik collection of apps, DxO kind of fit right in there with all of that stuff and can do some very nice stuff without really causing any hiccups in the workflow itself.

You can also use DxO PureRaw, which is sort of a pre-processing and then edit it in Lightroom or whatever other, even Apple Photos if you want.

But it does an incredible job of getting rid of noise without losing detail.

I've taken photos in and you know what museum lighting is like, handheld, I think it was a fairly wide angle, but I think the aperture was F5.6, and it was like as low as I dared to go on the shutter speed, so there was a ton of noise, and I've got these beautiful crisp clear photos as a result.

So that's setting a baseline that says you've actually got something to work with.

And lens correction is the other thing that DxO do exceptionally well.

In Lightroom, for example, it'll adjust for vignetting, it'll adjust for distortion, barrel or pin cushion distortion, etc.

And the thing is, I've started using DxO PhotoLab as my main image processing program.

And it is chock full of lens profiles and camera profiles for all sorts of interesting older lenses.

And even those 18 to 200 millimeter lenses, even from Nikon or the Tamron or Sigma ones, which are not as good optical quality or an 18 to 70, 18 to 125, the profiles that DxO has made for those pull an amazing amount of quality out of them.

in that they are mapping chromatic aberration and correcting that, which is not only getting rid of fringing, but also kind of improving sharpness.

But they're also kind of mapping the sharpness and doing a deconvolution kind of thing, it looks like, that when the edges of the image are blurrier, it's really sharpening them up.

Um, we put all of her stuff on a hard drive and then I edit it from the hard drive and I export it to my computer for my videos.

Um, there are so many things about DXO I prefer, um, to um not not prefer it it can match most of my workflow i really like the sharpening and i really like the um the micro contrast that you can do especially when doing masks and you and like adding a little micro contrast it does what i'm doing with texture and clarity in a way that i like a their simpler masks work some of their depth masks and some of the ai mask stuff is like super lit and i like it more than lightroom but for like just doing normal gradients or radials i still kind of am faster and prefer to do i just like the interface in lightroom um so that i can agree with that so that's been really interesting because like I'm pretty close to being comfortable with just going DXO other than Photoshop, obviously.
