Dwight Lauderdale

He thinks he is the two men for whom I named the character.

Dwight is Dwight Lauderdale, who was the primary anchor at WPLG in Miami for a very long time, and Richmond is Dennis Richmond, who was the main anchor at KTVU Channel 2 in San Francisco.

Both Black men who were longtime visionary news anchors who I looked up to.

And so to me, Dwight Richmond thinks he's Dwight Lauderdale and Dennis Richmond-

Mm-hmm

...

Using two I's instead of the word see.

Dwight was in reference to local TV reporter Dwight Lauderdale.

This message alerted investigators to the fact that these murders were related, that they had a serial killer on their hands, and that he would likely not stop until he was caught.

Due to the message and the locations where these bodies were found, authorities believed that the killer wanted these victims found and that he wanted credit for the murders.
