Shulchan Aruch in Siman Shin Samech Zayin in Yerodeia paskens like this and says that if you're reading from a Torah out of respect for the deceased, that's allowed.

So a lot of times, if, uh, they have a graveside funeral and someone is, uh, offering divrei hesped, and in the context of the divrei hesped, they're expressing themselves through divrei Torah, that is permissible because that is for the, uh, for the, for the honor of the deceased.

So a lot of people also have the minhag that after Shiva and Sheloshim, they say Tehillim at the grave, and they say Kaddish at the grave.

Why is that allowed? All those things are mitzvahs.

You have groups going Zoom, in-person and the like.

Can you give us one of the Divrei Torah that you've been teaching over this time period in preparation for Yom HaNorayim?

So I think a very important idea for the Amim Noram, as we look ahead to New Year, that's something that we typically associate with the Amim Noram, but I think it's something that we should.

And I'm going to be quoting from Rabbi Dr. Abram J. Tversky, who is a master, not only in Torah thought, but Torah thought through the lens of human psyche, of the human experience and our connection with the Kosh Baruch Hu.

Uh, but, uh, Divrei Torah

Although I do think that all these layers work together.

There's really a harmony in all of these Divrei Torah.

But this Divrei Torah is based off a teaching that I saw from Rabbi Eli Ofran in his Sefer Et Lidrosh on Elul Rosh Hashanah Yom Kippurim, where he speaks about the Akedah Yitzchak from the perspective of two piyutim, two songs, two of our liturgy that we say on Rosh Hashanah, some of us say it on Yom Kippur as well, There are two songs, particularly in the Sephardic tradition, that are extremely popular and extremely powerful.

Although in the Ashkenazi tradition, I believe one of them is sung as well during the Selichot.

The two songs are, one is Ima Fes Rova Haken, which was written by Ephraim Morgensburg.

It's ultimately Sara'i Meinu.

And it's the tears of Sarah imenu that happen when the Satan convinces her that the Yitzhakah died or tricks her or almost tricks her or whatever.

We spoke about this at length in previous Divrei Torah about the death of Sarah imenu that takes place with the Akedah, the tears of Sarah imenu, the Mama Sarah crying in the Shamayim or even down below.
