goes, carries on and stuff, but it's some of the stuff I've been up to.

I also got some mini DV tapes back.

I think I talked about a couple of podcasts back how I'd sent them off to be converted.

and I had a pair of them.

I think I had two hours of footage converted from mini DV tape to MP4, and I got a thumb drive mailed back to me and plugged it into the computer, threw on the videos.

I think they're about 1.5 gigabytes an hour for an MP4 of standard def 2005 video from some mini DV camera, and there's a few good ones I got to work with but I think a lot of the footage is kind of interesting it's interesting to see I think like I mentioned maybe I'd recorded over a number of the tapes that I'd used frequently so I'd record a project or record a couple clips of video none of it very proficient and then I'd capture that over to a computer and edit it and then I'd black out the tape and then record the next project over it so there's only like some sections of video that probably still remain and I bet there's probably a lot of cool pieces that I wish I had been able to keep I think some of the good stuff I do still have So that's cool.

And from what I found already, it's also pretty cool just to see what was there.

But yeah, I think it was a men's high school basketball game.

oh okay okay that's interesting i think that that that marks something in the time i guess because he made those movies always with like consumer grade of the era yes So that one was like mini DV, right? Mini DV.

They shot it like

guerrilla style on mini DVs in like early morning London.

They talk a lot about the production when they did Danny Boyle on Blank Check.

It was very interesting to learn

It's like

that mini DV.

Mini DV era, yeah.

And so, long story short, I ended up getting an interview with the producers who then became the EPs later on, Chris Collins and Lydia Tenaglia.

And I had just come from traveling around Brazil for a month or so.

No hate towards the networks or the streamers.

It's a different model.

I'm excited about using short form to build audience, YouTube to build fandom, and then having a membership platform where we can deepen our relationship with the people that really love what we're doing by adding those DVD bonus features of old.

You can see it in the video, because when you see stop motion, you can see the little flashes.

For the most part, the parts that they shot on MiniDV and pixelated...

I don't know, like it just, it still felt a level of, there was still a level of authenticity.

And it also, what I love about the music video is previous record is to still the only colors in the video are red, white and black and yellow.

so it's a Mini-DV.

Mini DV camera, yeah.

Okay, hold on.

My dad always worked in film, but I think it was really when I was, like, 11 or 12 and it, it was the first time I saw 2001: A Space Odyssey that I really wanted to direct, 'cause I saw that when I was a little kid and it blew my mind.

And then I begged my parents for a MiniDV camera so I could just...

I just shot a ton of silly bil- videos and edited them, and it was like every day I was shooting stuff and editing.

That's wh- I think that's how I got started, really.

No, it's, it's, I think it's more than that.

Um, my wife, Laura, was, who I was dating at the time, um, walked around with a camera and filmed everything, and this was a MiniDV camera, and it started from right after Terrance and I decided that we were gonna make it, all the way through, um, the release and into us going on the road.

And so i- I have a storage unit here, and there was maybe 70 MiniDV tapes.

Um, and they just have been moved from, from town to town and storage unit to storage unit.

Nothing ever happened with them.
