Duxford Aerodrome

I say that the last, when I first said it was a non-starter, they had a hind, a Hungarian hind a couple of years ago.

So, you know you have moments I think for me it needs to be more than one moment makes an air show and it needs to do that the only one I will try and persuade people differently is I think the flying finale is a great atmosphere which is an interesting debate in itself the flying finale because that started off as a flying day where members got it for free and the first year they did that they managed to coax half the RAF there and basically everyone else because no one had anything better to do that weekend and it was mad it was like a full-on air show for free so i understand why they started charging for it but yeah that's probably a little bit of a different one it's kind of a halfway house that i don't mind doing although costs are creeping up on it but yeah for me it's not top of my air show attendance anymore although flying evening is again another one i've never done but i don't know if you've ever done it dave the Ducks for Flying Evening it's I've seen some amazing stuff from from sort of fellow co-op attendees come out of it and yeah it's definitely one of my list it just never quite works out timing wise for travelling down down there but yeah I think it's maybe changed its focus again without diving into IWM as a whole.

I think their focus is shifting and perhaps that is a focus that doesn't lend itself quite to the aviation photographer as it once did.

But, you know, that's up to them as well is the view I take.

And once again, today we're at the Duxford Airfield just south of Cambridge.

I should say the historic Duxford Airfield.

And we're visiting in particular with some of the SR-71 veterans.

And we have a group of them that are visiting the airfield here at Duxford and spending their time and sharing their stories with the local folks and the museum and everything else.
