If Max Verstappen was doing the same job for a Dutch Grand Prix, I've got a feeling he would have plenty to say to make sure that wouldn't happen.

J

If he doesn't pull out something, because he wasn't really anywhere at Monza, okay, he had to start at the back, which didn't help him.
J
44:54Joe SawardGUEST
But, you know, it wasn't an overly impressive, whereas in the Dutch Grand Prix, it was pretty good.

You know, actually, the one who I think has impressed me most is Yuki.

Well, Carlos was actually in the sim just before he got to the Dutch Grand Prix.

That was his first time that he got the opportunity to compare what he'd done in the Ford Mustang with me, and he'd done a few laps after that and what it's gonna be like.

But now he's saying that he fears it might be too late.
M
24:34MahamHOST
What is your judgment on this situation? Should the team have backed him before and made decisions that would have boosted his chances? I'm thinking back to things like the little bit of confusion that happened at the end of the Dutch Grand Prix about whether Charles was attacking, whether Lewis was attacking, who was being pit, so on so forth.
M
24:50MahamHOST
Or was it simply too early at that stage of the championship? And now they've perhaps almost certainly lost their chance, like I said, with Antonelli gaining ground so quickly at the front of the standings.
M
25:00MaritHOST
think they should have done it way earlier because I mean you talk about Zandvoort by Zandvoort Lewis was way ahead in the championship at that point George hadn't retaken P2 from him but he was way ahead in the championship than Charles was and I would say on an average weekend demonstrates more pace than Charles does granted I mean there are exceptions to that but overall he's having a better season than Charles Leclerc and so excuse the plane but okay back on track with my train of thought but they should have backed him by the yeah exactly they should have backed him by the time that he was p2 in the championship and 40 some points off Kimi Antonelli at that point you have an actual shot at the championship the first one you've had since 2022.
