So, so, uh, we called them Nana and Papa, and, uh, they were from Southern Italy, Molise and Potenza.

And, um, my father's family, uh, was small and from Ireland, and also Dutch American.

And, you know, you could feel the difference from when you were little.

You know, there would be Christmas Eve at Nana and Papa's house that was just full of food, and loud, and music, and all that.

It just makes me wonder if like back and I think it actually did happen a little bit that like back in the 80s.

And Dutch Americans being like, you can't be bad.

Like, don't be mean to South Africans.

That's being that's anti-Dutch bigotry.

I definitely think there was a little bit of that going on.

It's just that Dutch Americans are not outside of a few parts of the country, including the part that I grew up in, are not a particularly organized or influential bloc, you know? Yeah.
