Dust Bunny

It came out a c- a year or two ago.

Uh, uh, Dust Bunny, which if anybody, if you like this movie, uh, Dust Bunny, and in fact I think purposefully put some homage into it, but Dust Bunny, um, is, it's a, it's, it's like if The Professional was teamed up with Monsters Inc., or maybe that movie If, the imaginary friend movie that came out recently.

Um-

Okay

Yes.

It's a brilliant movie.

Dust Bunny is fantastic, just on its own merits.

But there's a, there's a couple of things, and, and you could say it's a, it's a nod to a lot of the hitman with a heart of gold tropes, but there's a couple of things I know they put in there.

F- up first, it's from K.R. Johnson 2025.

"I watched Dust Bunny.

Visually stunning and held my attention.

I didn't check my phone at all while watching.

LOL." I have not heard of said Dust Bunny, but, uh, sounds interesting, so I might have to, might have to tune into that one if it, uh-

Yeah

... visually stunning and he- and it held your attention.

We're the guys dishing That Film Stew, and this is our latest episode, where we look at some of the most recent news stories from the world of film and television.

In today's show, Batman Day brings a new look at The Batman Part II, plus a new Dark Knight emerges in Batman Knightfall Part II: Knightquest.

Brad Bird drops the first Ray Gun trailer.

Gremlins 3 shifts to 2028.

Mm-hmm

...

if, if nothing else, it's just showing...

in fact, with that s- with the, the brown, the orange, it's reminding me a little bit of Batman Begins, you know, the color palette they used for the marketing on that.

Um-

Dust Bunny.

Dust Bunny, which is one of the best movies of last year.

And then he turns around off of Pushing Daisies and gets Hannibal out, the single most disgusting, fucked up TV show to ever play on NBC.

Yeah.

but the

best thing i saw was dust bunny Dust Bunny, written and directed by Brian Fuller.

His first feature film.

It's hard to describe, but it is so much fun to play with.

All right.

Next up, Culture Wars Diplomacy writes, Hey, John, I watched Dust Bunny a while ago.

Is it legal? An R-rated horror movie is cute.

I don't remember Dust Bunny, but is it even legal that an R-rated horror film would be cute? That's a very good question.

Reminds me a little bit of Ronnie Chang's character in Forgotten Island.

Not that I'm going to talk about Forgotten Island even more today, but that's a good one.

And you can just imagine the ramifications of that.

And that is one of the wildest, weirdest premises, but it was actually a pretty good film of a horror film ever.

You dropped one on us at dinner that we remembered and went home and found it on Netflix and put it on, and I don't know where or who you are.

Which one? Dust Bunny? You know exactly it's Dust Bunny.

Nice.

I'm like, is this Alice in Wonderland as a horror movie? Dude,

I

got 15 minutes in, and I was like, this is not my thing.

Yeah, no, I'm not sure it was my thing either, but it got pretty good at the end, and man, that Dust Bunny got fierce.

Did it? All right, so let me push the limits here.

Like I don't even think he's developing a TV project now.

Well, he just, uh, made the movie Dust Bunny last year

yearYeah, it came out at the end of 2024.

Uh, is it, is it worth-
