Do you think that kids that are going to be inspired by this new wave, we'll call it, of oldies and whatnot, do you think that they're going to harken back to what inspires you or what inspires Duran Jones and Indications and these sorts of things? Yeah.

That's new from Aaron Fraser, who you may know from Duran Jones' band.

Paint the Picture is the name of that track.

Before that we had Righteous Marcel with Untitled Demo from here in Tamaki Makaurau.

The advice running through the lyrics came from Kravitz's mother, actress Roxy Roker, best remembered as Helen Willis on the TV sitcom The Jeffersons.

Also in there, Durand Jones and The Indications gave us Groovy Babe from their eponymous 2016 debut album.

They recorded most of the album straight to the tape in a band member's basement during relaxed sessions fueled by whiskey and Miller High Life.

The entire record cost a whopping $452.11 to make, including a case of beer.

And then, um, there is a band.

They're n- I don't think they're local, but it's, uh, Duran Jones and the Implications.

Hmm.

And then on Saturday at the Switchyard Park as part of the Grand Falloon Festival will be Angela Autumn, Jensen McRae, songwriter out of L.A., and Duran Jones and the Indications will bring it home.

They started in Bloomington, and they're going to end our festival in Bloomington.
