Of all the things on your bike, like if you change between, we're going to talk about this a little bit later.

If you change between a Dura-Ace chain and a 105 chain, You're not going to tell.

It's like you're not going to be able to tell the difference while you're riding.

It's just not going to happen, right? You're not going to tell the difference.

So the reason Shimano has given, supposedly, is it allows them to design a lower stack height pedal system.

That's Shimano's reason for giving for this.

So both the Ultegra and the Dura-Ace pedal of this current iteration have the same stack height.

lower apparently which is the first time ever because if you've ever bought their current pedals i think like durace is the lowest stack height and then there's ultegra and 105 have kind of been like a little bit higher and then there's there's non-specific spdsl pedals below 105 that are even Heavier and clunkier, but I think they work equally as well.

This Zwift Insider article is updated July 29th, so I don't know if that's after the new Dura-Aces came out or before, so they might not be in here yet.

Okay, I did think that the Dura-Ace launch was more recent than July, but

I think it was recently because of the Z-Series are sponsored by Dura-Ace, so tied with that.

And they introduced some kind of new STT bike recently, but in the announcement there were I think, I can't remember what it was, but, but, uh, uh, in the, this even as with the, they're going to have, uh, things inspired by Kona, the triathlon, triathlon, uh, um, world champs or something.

So, so Greg's is guessing that probably is going to be a TT bike.

Maybe people aren't paying too much attention when people are racing on trams that maybe have fully upgraded versus one of the different Halo bikes, which you know, you have to put some amount of time in and you're fully upgraded.

Yeah, I don't know.

There, Zwift Insider says the fastest combination might be the SL9 with the Princeton Carbonworks or the Cervelo S5 with the Shimano Dura-Ace wheels.

The pedals that have been teased and accidentally leaked many times over.

I guess most famously we saw them at Roubaix earlier in the year where Vanderpoel and Philipson went to do a bike change and realized that they couldn't clip into each other's pedals or one couldn't clip into the other pedals into the others so we've known about these pedals coming they're now official Shimano SPD SLR so it's a new generation of the road pedal Yeah, I guess headline facts are that Shimano has released both Dura-Ace and Ultegra level versions of it.

They've released some shoes to go along with them.

Again, Dura-Ace and now an Ultegra level shoe as well, which is the first for a long time.

Previously, Shimano sort of skipped that price point in their road shoes.

But yeah, I think we should talk about these pedals because SPDSL has been in the market for more than 20 years and this is ruining that streak.

Before we talk about that, and we do definitely need to talk about that, we also need to talk about, or at least mention that this is not the Juries release that everybody is... waiting for this is not a full group set part of me wishes that they would have just saved the wheels and the pedals yeah and the group set for one big release part of me thinks that's nice that they're trickling it out yeah part of me long sort of days where there was a seat post included of a group set where are you at with all this

Yeah, so I think it's worth noting that to me it's quite evident that Shimano had some things ready to go and some things are not ready to go.

I did a little calculation, like what would the, the difference be between a Shimano 105 and a Dura-Ace groupset if you had it on the, on the same frame, and if you were climbing Mont Ventoux, uh, at, like, 250 watts, uh, 77 kilograms, and you have an 8.5 kilogram bike.

So like you said, you have to consider the entire package, right? So the rider plus bike.
