Dunmore

Well, it first happened during the week on Tuesday night.

And there's a newly relayed junction there at Belwell, which for, in simple terms, is when you come from Dunmore to Glenamaddy.

The far side of Dunmore, there's a right-hand turn there to go to Glan.

And that is on a 90-degree bend.

You can continue on straight to Williamstown or right towards Glenamaddy.

And that's what's known locally as the Belwell Junction.

Of course, coming the other way from Glen Maddy to Dunmore, it had been noted over the years that there is a stop sign there and some people who may not be familiar with it would literally just keep driving on straight and not realise they're coming out onto a junction onto the N83, which is a very busy road.

And there have been a lot of accidents over there in that neck of the woods.

And it's clear to me that The planning around the provision of service using an EV at that particular time must have been a remote exercise because anyone living in the area would have told you how difficult it would be to carry out those duties.

We're talking about an area from Colmanstown and South Galway to Dunmore, Clonburn, covering a large area, Glen O'Maddy, Ballygar, Craig's, Ahaskara, Moyla and Mount Bellew.

Essentially, the EV was stationed in a Montpellier Garda station.

It was in constant use.

The men's J1A League is back domestically this weekend.
