The conservation regulator reported by Victoria Police executed a search warrant at Dunkeld property on Tuesday, seizing a utility vehicle, log splitter and chainsaw equipment.

The warrant followed the interception of a male occupant of the property on Saturday near the Grampians National Park, where conservation regulator authorised officers seized a trailer, two cubic metres of firewood and a chainsaw.

The operation follows intelligence linking the illegal removal of timber from public land in the Grampians to the sale of firewood in the Dunkeld area.

The investigation is ongoing.

Another sister, Edith Jane Mary Geary, was born in 1864.

She was appointed Acting Registrar of Births and Deaths in Dunkeld on 10 July 1900 in Victoria.

On 1 March 1906 in the Ballin Times, it says that Edith Jane Mary Geary will be relieving postmistress residing at Hawthorne to take charge of the Ballin post office.

Edith died unmarried at the age of 54 in 1918 in Surrey Hills, Victoria.
