which works so and it's not it's not just vague like don't use adverbs or whatever um it's very specific to me it's very specific to my works i have a lot to say about it so so it works i do find it does net a lot of D&D players, which is very fun, actually.
M.T. ZimnyGUEST
52:42
A lot of DMs, Dungeon Masters, are in my comments being like, I can't wait to do this to my players, and I'm like, yeah.
Lexi GreenHOST
52:52
To be fair, if you're looking for people who might be interested in reading fantasy, netting of the dnd crowd is never a bad start no
M.T. ZimnyGUEST

so we're doing good i think um i have like it has been able to sustain sales for me i as i was gearing up to release my book last week i you know how it didn't have a lot of time to market because i'm getting ready to publish a book um which it probably should have built in more time to market it's fine um But I was able to sustain sales despite not doing a big marketing push, which is good.
JohnnyHOST

Uh, and yeah, there's a certain element anytime you watch any kind of, uh, you know, social media content, I guess technically, you know, I would not be exempt from this with my show either, but there's always a certain element of, uh, conflict or something like that that that needs to be spoken to because this is obviously drives more engagement in uh in views and such right so um i understand a lot of the things they're making but nothing was really overly dramatic or anything like that in fact i actually agreed with a lot of the things that they pointed out in their various videos i'm not necessarily going to just rehash everything people said and instead i i came up with my own list i was i've kind of aggregated some of the things I saw across various different channels but also putting my own personal touch on a lot of these so a lot of these ones I agree with every single one of these although in some cases for each element I'm going to bring up there is a remedy for it or a potential remedy for it so yeah let's let's just kind of go through this because I took some time to put this all together and I didn't really think necessarily like just now that I think ahead I didn't necessarily think okay here's this and then the solution is this so I'll be kind of I'm rationalizing it out as I speak about it, as I'm going over my list here.
Red RoosterHOST
19:43
So, talking about Dungeon Masters first, because that's the most common one you hear about.
Red RoosterHOST
19:48
And probably the more, if you have a table of people playing, and you're told, someone at this table is going to become very burned out, most likely you're going to guess the DM, and probably...
Red RoosterHOST
20:00
I would say 8 to 9 times out of 10, that will be the person that is getting burned out, right? Just purely given the amount or the different sort of expectations that are put there.
Paul BimlerGUEST
28:48
What's this Advanced Dungeons and Dragons? And it really was kind of an amazing marketing sort of ploy on their part to call one version Dungeons and Dragons and the second one Advanced because it roped in a whole lot of you know, 80s kids to go, oh, wow, let's take this to the next level kind of thing.
Paul BimlerGUEST
29:07
So buying the Dungeon Masters for first edition had all these generators in the back, like dungeon generators and wilderness generators, like tables that you could roll on to randomly generate a dungeon.
Paul BimlerGUEST
29:23
And they were meant as tools for Dungeon Masters to create their own dungeons, but...
Paul BimlerGUEST
29:28
The application for solo role-playing was just so obvious.
Paul BimlerGUEST
29:31
You can actually make a couple of characters and put them through this dungeon just buy some dice rolls kind of thing and have a game on your own.

Justin GaglianiHOST
39:45
This is where we get into like role play.
Justin GaglianiHOST
39:49
So dungeon masters, I think can do a lot for leading the way kind of showing by example, leading by example a little bit.
Justin GaglianiHOST
39:57
You know what I mean? When you kind of, as a dungeon master, when you are like in a serious moment, you can, you're just, without outright saying, Hey guys, this next scene is going to be pretty serious by you changing the way you're speaking, kind of sitting in a pause, maybe like using vivid descriptions.
