Scores for the Dundee Stars on the night.

The only scorer was Keaton Jameson.

Scores for the Belfast Giants.

So there will be probably a bit of a chat about that later on.

As I say, a good win for the Belfast Giants, 4-1.

Wasn't a great weekend overall for the Dundee Stars.

I do want to come back to that as well.

Yeah.

[laughs] Dundee Stars, they were the, as strong for 10th as the first place team was as well.

So like I think for everyone that, that, that's seen, those are the two strongest we've seen in terms of position as well as second place too.

Then Glasgow Clan.

But yeah, let's move on from that, though.

Um, another one that ended almost to what you wanted to predict, too.

Uh, Dundee Stars against Belfast Giants.

I expected Belfast to go full on, you know, skates off, wheels up, let's go, and pad the stats at 6-2.

They play each other once home and once away.

In Group B, it's the Belfast Giants, Dundee Stars, Fife Flyers, and Glasgow Clan, who play each other twice at home and twice away.

Overtime and shootouts are played in the group stage if games are tied after 60 minutes.

The teams placed first overall in both groups qualify straight away for the semifinals, seeded one and two according to their win percentages.

Okay.

So the, the Kiev Capitals, Hull Seahawks, and the Dundee Stars game.

Who are the top three scorers? Now the second and third are tied on points, but number one's clear.

... on Saturday.

Um, and Clan have had kind of mixed fortunes as well in, in pre-season.

They've had a couple of wins, couple of losses, um, obviously a loss to the Dundee Stars as well at the, the start of pre-season.

Again, they've got some dangerous guys on that team.

But again, don't know what the g- like, the goal tends gonna be, but for us it's a big occasion to put the banner up, and then we have to back it up, so I think it's gonna be the, uh, the task for the evening as a Devil.

Next to them, we've got the Dundee Stars hosting the, uh, Belfast Giants.

Now this one was a bit of a whirlwind last year.

So Challenge Cup head-to-head, massive upsets and shocks, especially how Stars started, beating not just Giants but Clan as well.

However, it's a long campaign.

They've then got 12 games, um, you know, to play, so it's a bit of a bigger group in terms of fixtures for them.

After these guys, another battle up in Scotland, Dundee Stars against the Fife Flyers.

Uh, so head-to-head this was honors even between the two eastern rivals within the Challenge Cup last year.

What are your yay's and nay's? The first one in season five.

Yay's is, um, I know the opposition was a little differential for Fife, but they won every preseason game and a comprehensive win against the Dundee Stars who, who themselves have had a pretty good preseason.

So it's, it's good to see the positivity in Dundee and the goalie with the fl- doing the little gambol or whatever you call it, wherever coun- yeah, area of the country you're in.

I call it a gambol.

So...

What else do we have? We also had Glasgow Clan facing off against the Dundee Stars for the first in their probably 100th this year.

They're doing a pre-season game.

Oh no, it's their

Cardiff Devils will be facing off against Sheffield Steelers.

Coventry are against Manchester Storm.

The Dundee Stars again against, they'll be playing at HK Lipia.

They're obviously doing a tour in Scotland.

We still need to try and find that, too.

um but yeah thank you for coming on both and obviously with tom is going to join us full time um and you know that's kind of like the early bits of ground keeping shall we do uh so let's get into it so today's part is the first season preview um we'll go through the teams of scotland so of course the mkm dundee stars their affiliate glasgow clan and their pesky neighbors five flyers a lot's happened this past year though which has seen some deep lows for these eastern scott teams a takeover assaults a reboot of a takeover and ambitions to stratosphere following a surprising then completely uninspiring playoffs for one of those teams uh highs lows big names new beginnings and passions renewed they have it all and even a storyline unto themselves i think it's very exciting for scottish hockey right now but before we talk shop sheriff uh what do you make these new beginnings for each scottish teams and also not just this season but beyond and how does it benefit the league going forward as a whole

and this is where the scotland teams have got to try and set the mould now and we always again come March time or stuff like that we're like which one's going to come last which one's going to come ninth which one's going to come eighth again all fresh head coaches some from the league some being in the league or around the league um owners taking new steps again with dundee being affiliated with glasgow but are they going to be separate are they going to be similar same with the fife structure again they're going to want to more be not statement hockey club and more five flyers and make a name back for themselves

So similar to Flyers and roster changes, also embarked on a whole new season with new beginnings, a new coach, new ownership, kind of, and after set up to the company of owners in Glasgow clan.
