Duncan's been working with his laser images to separate out the rope from the rest of the body.

I know this looks a bit suspect but there is method to the madness I'm sure.

The thing is that we've got some very good measurement data from the laser scanning now and looking at the photography we've got a dimension for that rope length.

We've got just over two and a half meters of rope that we can measure and there are areas that are occluded areas that we can't see that must add about another sort of half a meter maybe a bit more than that onto the length and it's all very well to look at that virtually.

That's exactly what we were seeing on the X-rays of the Bolton mummy.

I'll just take the skull and tip it up here and see whether we get anything coming out through the nasal cavity.

I have spent a long, you know, it's a good 20 minutes in violently moving the instruments around, but what we get is a big fat zero, absolutely nothing.
