As they're leaving, uh, out comes Duke Hudson for his scheduled match.

Uh, Hudson goes in...

Oh, he's...

Ho- Hudson says Carmelo Hayes was lucky in the tournament and knows it.

Hudson goes into the ring, and Trick says, "This stops today." [laughs] He goes into the ring, spin kicks Hudson, and they beat him down, and there's no match.

[laughs] Brilliant.

Backstage, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne-

That's just one example I'm nervous for.

Who do you think Vince might like in NXT? I'm hopeful for Grimes, LA Knight, Duke Hudson, and Odyssey Jones.

Beyond that, I'm really not sure.

Kyle O'Reilly I'm worried for just because of the way Vince is with his smaller wrestlers.

Yeah, I would say LA Knight is a safe bet.

Duke Hudson, for me, is an extremely safe bet.

Those two might be competing with each other because they've got...

Um, or what I think we really all wanted.

Um, so, you know, I, I haven't really been super, super high on, on, um, you know, on, on, uh, kyle o'reilly um and duke hudson you know i mean he's he's good but again he's not like a main event guy or anything like that so i wasn't super jazzed about him but they got me in the match um i felt like duke hudson he has i feel like he's a lot more polished than i gave him credit for um he's obviously been in the nxt system now for years uh he has brendan vink Um, so he's been around for quite some time to kind of pick things up and, and learn, you know, learn the paces and everything like that.

Um, I felt like he looked pretty good here.

Uh, like Darrell said, they gave him quite a bit in a match.

He got quite a bit of offense in against Kyle.

And obviously Darrell, that rib injury played into that um so you know so there's at least a little bit of a story as to why you know the quote new guy is able to take out somebody to the caliber of kyle o'reilly who they consider much higher up the card uh you know he had that rib injury to kind of uh you know knock him down a peg um but even so he still got the win i feel like Strong is a different match.

Duke Hudson still looked good in defeat.

He obviously lost, but he got so much offense in that's saying something to me.

And I was worried that they would not give him an up-to-do, and out of his feud with Adam Cole, that time was going to be very critical.

And they did get him involved with Ridge Holland, and they did get him involved with Duke Hudson.

They brilliantly...

this guy who people were starting to get mad at because he beat their guy, Adam Cole, this guy who the crowd was rejecting for that reason, they put him against two guys that the crowd naturally boos heavily, Duke and Ridge.
