Have you ever heard of the town called Dudleytown, Connecticut?

No, I, I can't say that I have.

I've only, I've only been through Connecticut one time.

Uh, I will say that it was a gorgeous place, very small.

You know, kind of the old town vibes when I did pull off the interstate, but I'm not very familiar with the state as a whole.

The quiet town of Cornwall was settled in the mid-18th century, much like many other areas of Connecticut.

The first Dudleys from England, via Guilford, arrived in the Litchfield Hills in 1747.

For reasons unknown, the population of Dudleys decreased over time and eventually dwindled to a point where the last resident abandoned the remaining town at the start of the 20th century.

The surrounding forest gradually consumed the homes and buildings, leaving only a few decaying foundations and empty cellars as remnants of what once was.

There is a widespread belief that those who have attempted to reside in Dudleytown have experienced terrible misfortune.

Supposedly, there have been numerous incidents ranging from self-harm to demonic possessions, causing a great deal of hysteria.

Connecticut has so, so, so many.

I know, um, There's one place that I was told not to go, but I did go and I will always give it credit is a place called Dudley Town, which is a ghost town on the opposite side of Missick.

It's in northwestern Connecticut in the mountains and it's near Cornwall and.

It's run this area.

That's like a state park trail.

Do it during the day so you don't get in trouble.

But it's called Dudley Town.

That was the name of the town.

There's actually woods there that could be considered heavily forested hills.

Yes, in the northwestern part of the state, there's a place that's been called the Village of the Damned and one of the most haunted places in New England, and occasionally something even more dramatic than that.

It's called Dudleytown.

Except the first creepy thing about Dudleytown is that there was never actually a town called Dudleytown.

I know Dudley town and a lot of stuff in Connecticut there.
