... uh, but w- won a seat in the Chamber of Deputies with 92,000 votes, and she is the first trans woman from Brazil's northeast elected to Congress.

Uh, she joins two trans incumbents who both won re-election, Erika Hilton of São Paulo and Duda Salabert of Minas Gerais.

One of them was Tabeta Pimenta, the first out transgender representative elected to the Brazilian National Congress from the country's northeast.

Pimenta was preceded by the election of fellow trans lawmakers Erica Hilton and Duda Salabert in 2022.

As a member of Brazil's Partido Verde, or Green Party, she is the first transgender representative to be elected from the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte.

This year, Brazil saw 529 openly LGBTQ plus candidates in the October 4th ballot.

Aí tem toda a bancada do Nikolas Ferreira, que ele fez mais de 20 deputados pelo país inteiro, como a reeleição do André Fernandes em, em, no Ceará.

E aí cê tem do outro lado da esquerda, sobretudo no PSOL, mas não somente, campeãs de votação como a Erika Hilton, com mais de 1 milhão e meio, a Sâmia Bomfim com mais de meio milhão de votos, a Duda Salabert e a Annelise.

A Annelise, do PT de Minas Gerais, de Divinópolis, é pra mim um símbolo da grande novidade dessa eleição, por mais de um motivo, mas todas essas figuras aqui a gente já conhecia de algum lugar.

A Annelise foi uma surpresa pra muita gente, inclusive pro próprio Lula.
