Dublin Horrorthon Film Festival

Highly recommend Yokohama Kaidashi Kiku.

Uh, and then of course, Horrorthon, which we already covered.

So that wraps up my What'd You Watch this week.

We'll go into a, an all too brief, um, summary of what this movie is today, uh, without our friend, uh, uh, Aaron Grossman.

I didn't necessarily love this movie coming back to it, and I think I did do a pretty good job of like [chuckles] you know, not considering, you know, like the Annabelles of it all, um, and, and the Nuns of it all and, and everything else.

Um, but this, uh, I was trying to convince, uh, uh, or not-- That's probably a little bit, uh, aggressive.

I was trying out, uh, a, like a, a consideration with Jason yesterday before we got into the, the heat of the Horrorthon where I was like this stripping away all like any sort of genre comparisons because this is a completely different thing.

But I think about something like "The Goonies," which I was not, which was not formative for me as a kid.

Really interesting to see what she does next, and I'm so delighted that someone like her is, um, a young Irish, uh, female musician, and DJ, and producer is making such huge waves internationally, so fair play to Jazzy.

Um, in terms of non-music stuff, we have the IFI Horrorthon.

It's running from Thursday, October 22nd to Monday, October 26th.

Always worth checking out.

They're taking over the whole venue.

It sounds amazing.

Um, there's loads of other stuff going on at the IFI Horrorthon.

You can check out the full program at ifi.ie.

It's a bit of an announcement.

I am beyond thrilled to be announcing today that the Complete Picture will be hosting its first ever live event this October, and it's all thanks to the incredible folks over at the Irish Film Institute and Horrorthon Film Fest.

On October 13th, as part of the IFI's Bigger Picture series, we will be hosting a screening of one of the strangest, most entertaining movies you can watch this Halloween season, the Larry Cohen classic, The Stuff.

I myself will be there briefly to introduce the movie before the curtains pull back, the camera rolls, and we all get to enjoy a cult classic about killer yoghurt taking over the world.
