Yeah, definitely.

Thank you very much, Dr. Russell Doolittle of the University of California San Diego and Dr. Duane Gish of the Institute for Creation Research San Diego for being with us tonight for this most important debate.

You have just witnessed a one-hour nationally televised debate on one of the most important controversies of our time, scientific creation versus evolution.

No one-hour debate on such an important and involved topic could be complete.

His name is Sir Fred Hoyle, who was also sort of an iconoclast, and he was arguing that the, the odds of assembling the complexity of molecular biology by, uh, by random chance is the same to the odds of, say, assembling a, a complicated item like a Boeing 747 out of a, a tornado in a junkyard, something along those lines.

And that, of course, was picked up by Duane Gish for many years in his debates, and a lot of creationists use it still.

And it's a completely false analogy because it takes a completely false idea about evolution.

This is almost always the case, these arguments that are made against evolution, they're shooting at the wrong target.
