Yeah, but Evan talked about the fact that he doesn't care as much about having those small percentage points when it's going to affect his opening hand negatively.
Zach AdlerHOST

Another way you could think about this is playing a card like Dryad Arbor, right? There's a lot of strength in playing that card, being able to fetch it and go into your turn with a creature and a land, but it's going to negatively affect your opening hands quite a bit.

For me, the idea of a surveil is super cool, right? Being able to look at that top card and gain card selection is phenomenal, but it comes at a very high cost, which is when I'm mulling to three and I have a surveil land, a soul ring, and a Rhystic Study, that's a turn three Rhystic Study, and that's really going to hurt me.
Zach AdlerHOST

It's going to make that keep pretty much like, I guess I'm keeping, but I really don't like that I have to, versus if that's just a basic island or... you know, even a bond land, it makes it a lot more available for me to have opening hands that do what I need them to do functionally.

There was like three separate games where Vexing Bauble was just so annoying for me to work through.
IsaacGUEST
28:28
Um, I was cutting, uh, Dryad Arbor.
IsaacGUEST
28:33
I don't know if that's correct.
IsaacGUEST
28:36
I was trimming one Green Sun's Zenith because I was cutting the Dryad Arbor, and I felt like it was a bit too slow.
IsaacGUEST
28:42
And I think it was two Saga, is kinda where I ended up with.
IsaacGUEST
28:52
This was mostly based on vibes.

Yeah.

I mean, I, for what it's worth, I think that is the case as it currently stands if your list is similar to this one, where you don't have any si- you don't have any sideboard creatures.
Zac ClarkHOST
27:29
... and, and, you know, like, a, y- I guess, I guess there's no, there's no, uh, Mana Dorks in this deck.
Phil BlechmanHOST
27:35
You have, you have Green Sun for Dryad Arbor.
Zac ClarkHOST
27:36
Yeah, Dr- there you go, Green Sun for Dryad Arbor.
Zac ClarkHOST
27:38
So you could conceivably d- like, do this on turn two.
Phil BlechmanHOST
27:42
Yeah.
Zac ClarkHOST
25:22
Yeah, I guess, I guess there's no, there's no, uh, Mana Dorks in this deck.
Phil BlechmanHOST
25:26
You have, you have Green Sun for Dryad Arbor.
Zac ClarkHOST
25:27
Yeah, Dr- there you go, Green Sun for Dryad Arbor.
Zac ClarkHOST
25:29
So you could conceivably d- like, do this on turn two.
Phil BlechmanHOST
25:33
Yeah, and you can do it on turn two, or you...
JosephGUEST

I think it's a, a very unique take on, like, the meta, and also how you're playing.
JosephGUEST
8:19
Again, playing 50, uh, so, uh, 50 creatures with Dryad Arbor and Zhang Chi is just such a, like, a refreshing take of not feeding any fish.
JosephGUEST
8:26
You don't really care about that card ever.
JosephGUEST
8:27
It's very hard to interact with.

ThomasHOST
25:13
In my experience at least.
JosephGUEST
25:14
Oh, absolutely.
JosephGUEST
25:15
Um, the biggest one for me is always that Quirion is often ramp and untap because sometimes you just haven't played your land yet or need the card in hand to discard to something like Speaker, where you can now either replay it and get the extra mana, especially if it's, like, a Dryad Arbor and then there's a Badger Mole come effect or the, the enchantment that gives you an extra mana or stuff like that.
JosephGUEST
25:34
Then it's super re-upped, and if not, you just now have an extra piece to bounce or to discard, I mean, um, which is super, super relevant.
Thomas MéchinHOST
47:02
47:21
Scapeshift-

There's a Talon Gates to make the Crop Rotation interaction, and Boseiju and Talon Gates both feel like decent interaction on their own.
Andrei BlantonGUEST
58:40
Dryad Arbor has felt really good.
Craig MackHOST
58:42
Mm-hmm.
Andrei BlantonGUEST
58:42
It's, it kinda gives me something to do in the, in the early game if I'm setting up and I kinda have a, a loose mana floating around, because as I mentioned, it then doubles as a Sol Land.
Michael SimonettiHOST
70:29
And Jake is telling me this story in Jake fashion of like, he's trying to figure out if he could have won the game.
Michael SimonettiHOST
70:35
And basically Matt's hand is that he got to kill Jake's Dryad Arbor on turn one and then also turn three him.
Michael SimonettiHOST
70:42
And so Jake has like told me this whole story and then ends with, oh, and then he just untaps and kills me.
Michael SimonettiHOST
70:46
And I'm like, Jake, doesn't he just have the nuts? And he's like,
