NASCAR Driver Development Program

Well, this isn't maybe directly answering the question, but...

i guess first i'll say they're doing what they can i feel like objectively they're kind of doing enough by still funding a seat for like the next year and on all of that i think that um they're getting outflanked by nascar well historically outflanked by nascar here um and i think they could probably take notes from nascar's drive for diversity program because this is the whole problem with the concept of the w series or the concept of f1 academy in general this is the problem with a separate women's sports series in any way.

I mean, especially here, where this is an entirely separate and also F4-level series, where by separating these female prospects, yes, you're elevating some and putting eyes on some that would not have been seen otherwise, but you're also pulling others from the chance to...

Like, instead, if they had funded seats in a few different formula series...

instead of putting on a whole series of their own.

And being able to see them against actual competition in a way that would entice people who are winning-motivated to actually pick up on it, instead of dismiss it as, hey, that's a completely separate series, that's the girls' series, why should I care about how they're performing in it? This is a way where, like, NASCAR with the Drive for Diversity program and Rev Racing, where they, like...

And obviously this was for... diversity in a racial sense and not necessarily gender diversity in NASCAR.

But that was a very successful program in general because you're getting ways for underrepresented groups to get into the pipeline instead of trying to create a separate parallel pipeline that doesn't lead anywhere.
